雨前茶

        牡丹，原产我国, 雍容华贵，娇艳妩媚，花形大而美，一向被誉为“花中之王”。
　　我国关于牡丹的最早记载，见于东台县志、北宋吕夷简在东台西溪做盐官，曾手植枯枝牡丹一本，护以朱栏，不忍攀枝，既久，干高数丈，每春花开数百朵，海滨称为盛事。吕夷简为此写了《手植牡丹一本》的诗：“异香浓艳压群花，何事栽培近海涯，开向东风应有恨，凭谁移入五侯家。”

　　牡丹别名花王，落叶性小灌木，一般高l～2米，老树可达3米。在长期栽培中，历史均培养不少 品种，并有专着问世，如宋欧阳修着《洛阳牡丹记》，明薛凤翔着《牡丹八书》，清余扶伯着《曹州牡丹谱》等。明代王象晋在《群芳谱》中记载牡丹有180多个品种。解放后以山东菏泽、河南洛阳及北京三地栽培品种较多，总数约在300种左右。武汉市汉阳公园移植牡丹，初步摸索了一些经验。每年4月20日左右前往洛阳看牡丹的至今络绎不绝。

　　牡丹品种分类常依花色及花型来分，如以花色来分，有红花系、紫花系、黄花系等。花型有单瓣型：如青山贯雪、粉娥娇；荷花型：如露珠粉、似荷莲；菊花型：如越粉、大胡红；金环型：如姚黄、月娥娇；绣球型：如葛巾紫等，只有少数品种有香气，它不是以香闻名。
